Jim Brickman - Beautiful World
I am a big fan of Jim Brickman. There. I said it. I know that some people would use terms like "elevator music" and "new age" (what iTunes calls it) but sometimes in the evening, when I'm cooking dinner with candles flickering and wine in hand, this is exactly the kind of music I want to hear. Simple, mood-evoking piano stylings. Songs like "Noche Pacifica" (with welcome guitar) take me to Cabo San Lucas just in time for sunset. "Romance Sur La Seine" paints a beautifully romantic picture of Paris. And if you're in need of a quick getaway, mix a Pina Colada and try "Island Paradise." Yes, I am a big fan of Jim Brickman. But I am a really really really big fan of Adam Crossley and it is his "Beautiful World" that makes me love this CD. This is jazzy pop at its absolute finest - lighthearted, hooky, cleverly written and expertly produced (by Adam) and sung with International Vocalist Nominee flare! Trust me, nobody's ever going to call this elevator music. Adam is poised to take the music world by storm and I am standing by to be counted his number one fan. He'll be joining me for a special night at The Lowville Bistro April 17 and of course we'll see him on stage April 29 at the Canadian Smoothies. Beautiful World is a beautiful CD. And yes, I like Jim Brickman. I love Adam Crossley.
